A scientist by training, gaining both graduate and postgraduate degrees mainly by part-time study. Now retired but was Chief Executive of SATRA Technology Centre in Kettering and retains links currently as Deputy Chair of the Company. SATRA is one of the UK’s leading research and technology organisations and employs over 200 professional and support staff mainly in Kettering.
Due to his background he has always been keen to encourage students in scientific and technical education and has been a Governor at a Church Secondary School for 25 years which included six years as Chair. During that period he led the conversion of the School into an Academy. He has also been a Governor at a Primary School and a Further Education College and a Member of the Peterborough Diocesan Education Trust which now comprises of 30 Primary Schools in Northamptonshire. In addition he has served on various bodies associated with the development of the East Midlands region and Northants including Housing Associations and Business Centres. He is also a member of Northants Schools Forum and on the Court of the University of Northampton.
He lives in North Northamptonshire and is pleased to represent the Diocese as a trustee of NET and looks forward to contributing to the Trust’s successful future development.
